Funding Discontinued

On Friday, September 5th, Western Oregon University was informed by the U.S. Department of Education that the Protactile Language Interpreter National Education Program interpreter training grant would not have their funding renewed for the final/fifth year (10/1/25-9/30/26).

What this means for you: 
If you had planned to complete PLI's free asynchronous, online module series on Protactile Theory, you must: 

• Complete the entire series by Monday, September 30th. 
• Download your Certificate of Completion immediately after completing each module.
• Download every module’s Certificate of Completion. 

Keep in mind: High traffic can cause slowdowns on downloads and people may fail quizzes. Plan to work ahead and budget time for delays. The entire Moodle platform may go offline on 10/1/25.

There will not be PLI staff available to help people after 9/30 if you have any last-minute issues. CEUs will be processed the first week of October by a student worker.
